What is Incorporation Date?

The incorporation date (or registration date) is the date on which a legal entity was officially created and registered with its business registry. It marks the beginning of the entity's legal existence.

Why it matters

Incorporation date is used to assess company age, which is relevant for credit scoring, risk assessment, and fraud detection. Very recently incorporated entities may warrant additional scrutiny.
